First Grade Writing Curriculum

 

Writing:  Children begin the writing process exploring the alphabet, letter by letter.  Journal writing will provide opportunity for teaching specific writing techniques during creative written responses.

 

Some specific writing topics that will be covered in first grade are:

- Informative writing

-Narratives

-Opinion writing
